Under the trade fair motto "Precise cutting, perfect welding – complete solutions that connect and inspire," Messer Cutting Systems will be showcasing its combined expertise in modern sheet metal processing at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 in Hall 8, Stands B17 and B23, at the joint stand with Messer ,Gases for Life’. Whether high-precision laser cutting, connected production processes, automated heat applications, or climate-friendly cutting solutions using hydrogen – trade visitors can expect a diverse portfolio of innovations for productivity, quality, and sustainability in manufacturing.
"Powerful laser technology, new approaches to oxy-fuel technology, maximum flexibility with the ELEMENT, the highest precision thanks to our newly developed drilling unit, hands-on digitalization, and process-reliable heating technology – for this year's SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, we have once again put together an impressive technology package that will fully satisfy sheet metal processors. With highly precise, productive, and resource-saving sheet metal cutting, digitized workflows, and automated processes, we aim to make the world of sheet metal processing even more productive and safer," says Jörg Mosser, CEO of Europe Messer Cutting Systems.
Repeatable bevel parts for weld seam preparation
Laser technology at its best: Particular attention is paid to the Bevel-U bevel cutting head. This powerful unit enables the production of precise bevel cuts at continuously adjustable angles and with the tightest tolerances – even with thick material. Perfect for preparing the workpiece for the most
demanding welding tasks. In combination with Laser Nozzle Control (LNC), fully automatic nozzle management is achieved, allowing for minimal operator intervention and ensuring maximum efficiency with consistently excellent results.
Rethinking oxy-fuel technology – with hydrogen
With HyCut, Messer Cutting Systems presents a pioneering solution for oxyfuel cutting, heating, and straightening with hydrogen. As a climate-friendly alternative to conventional fuel gas technology, HyCut combines several advantages: reduced CO₂ emissions, minimized pollutant levels in the workplace, and high cutting quality with economical process control.
Together with Messer 'Gases for Life' – the world's largest privately owned specialist for industrial, medical, and specialty gases – Messer Cutting Systems will demonstrate the live application of HyCut with oxy-fuel handheld devices and in conjunction with the ALFA torch on the machine at the trade fair. This will vividly demonstrate not only the ecological advantages but also occupational safety and process efficiency. Visitors will gain insight into an oxy-fuel production concept that is not only sustainable but also future-proof.
ELEMENT: Versatility, Performance, and Flexibility
With the ELEMENT, Messer Cutting Systems presents its modularly configurable flame cutting machine – equipped with oxy-fuel, plasma, marking, and drilling technology. Whether bevel cuts with the Bevel-S unit, precise drilling, or oxy-fuel cutting with hydrogen – the ELEMENT is a smart, complete solution for metal processing.
The machine platform impresses with a powerful modular system that can be individually adapted to a wide variety of sheet metal processing applications.
New drilling unit: Precision and efficiency down to the last detail
Another milestone is the newly developed drilling system for the ELEMENT series. This expansion allows drilling and threading directly on the machine in a seamless process – without any reclamping or manual rework. Thanks to an intelligent control concept, precise holes are drilled in diameter and depth – perfectly suited for downstream production steps. The low-vibration design protects sensitive machine components and noticeably extends their service life. The automated tool changer ensures easy operation and significantly reduces setup times. At the same time, work safety is increased because manual intervention is minimized.
Experience digitalization live: From the first click to the finished cut
A real highlight at the booth is the live demonstration of the combined process of drilling, plasma bevel cutting, and marking. Trade visitors will experience the entire digital manufacturing process, from rapid quotation calculation with automatic material and time calculation, to nesting and drilling planning, to smart job control with OmniWin and OmniFab. The final step is the production of a complex component. This new, integrated, combined process creates transparency, shortens lead times, and increases productivity.
GRIFLAM Heating Technology: Automated, Precise, and Process-Reliable
When it comes to reproducible thermal applications with the highest quality requirements, GRIFLAM heating technology from Messer Cutting Systems sets new standards. As a modular system for automated heating processes, GRIFLAM can be precisely tailored to customer-specific requirements and integrated into existing production lines – whether for flame straightening, automated flame hardening, or controlled preheating before welding. Through the use of energy-efficient burner technology, digital control solutions, and a process-optimized gas supply, users benefit from high reproducibility, process reliability, and measurable efficiency increases. The systems are compatible with robot arms, CNC systems, or customized support systems and can be flexibly configured – from stand-alone workstations to networked series production.
At the trade fair, Messer Cutting Systems will demonstrate how fully automatic flame adjustment can be implemented directly in the application. Visitors will experience first-hand how precise temperature control and digital networking work together to minimize setup times, standardize results, and reduce energy consumption at the same time.
